My friend has an eating disorder?

my friend is anerexic and im rlly worried about her.the other day she only ate 3 chips ALL DAY and today she only ate 2 small cookies.her mom is even sending her to a shrink.but she wont even admit that she has an eating disorder.she is 5 ft 4 tall and she is rlly into sports and she used to be muscular but now idk.over the summer she was wearing a bikini and i could see her ribs through her skin.she is scaring me. today we walked to have lunch and her mom asked me to make sure she ate something and if she wouldnt to force her to eat a carrot or sumthin and she wouldnt eat ANYTHING and i felt bad cause her mom relied on me and i failed.then for dinner we had ravioli.she didnt eat any of it obviously.she had bball practice afterbut her mom wouldnt let her go because she wouldnt eat any ravioli.she was crying and i felt rlly bad. but there was nothing i could do.she told me that she lost 16 lbs and shes PROUD OF IT! her goal is 95 lbs.when she was healthy, she was 105 lbs and thin.HELP!

My friend has an eating disorder?
it is so sad how someone can just lose themselves! she needs help and she also needs food, when your 5 ft 4 you should NOT be aiming for 95lbs, waaaaaayyyyy too light! there is NOTHING to be proud of about being under weight, too many people have lost their life's that way! poor thing, she really NEEDS to go to therapy or something, i am glad that her mother is concerned about her and she is doing the right thing, it is not your fault if she refuses to eat, she needs support and help to realize what is going on.

good luck and god bless!♥
Reply:I feel bad for your friend but her mom has to send her away to one of those clinic that they have for people with eating disorders.
Reply:I think she would benefit from some inpatient help too if her therapist isn't helping her. You sound like a good friend but she isn't really opening up about things.

This center has some good info and a friend of mine got help here for bulimia:

Reply:U're obviously a really good friend and very concerned. I think ur friends mother needs to speak to the local GP and get information about what steps to take. It would help if ur friend accompanied her mum - but u can't force her. Just by being there for ur friend u r doing something, so well done...
Reply:Plenty of good advice here.
