Autoimmune skin problem, is that a possible cause of HIV or AIDS?

If someone has a skin problem, itchiness, redness and bumpy like skin when scrathed or without scratching, which last from minutes to hours, on and off almost everyday, and was told as an autoimmune disorder, could that be HIV or AIDS symptom?

Autoimmune skin problem, is that a possible cause of HIV or AIDS?
An auto-immune skin problem is not AIDS. There are many auto-immune illnesses and AIDS is one of them. But they are all different individual diseases.

An autoimmune disease is where your body no longer recognises it's own cells and starts to attack them. In AIDS the acquired virus attacks the immune system and makes it unable to defend the body. In non-acquired auto-immune diseases (such as hypothyroidism) the immune system attacks the persons own cells, in this case the thyroid and make it unable to produce thyroid hormones, making the person tired, cold and dry.

Reply:i dunno sounds bad though id go with the hiv just to be sure
Reply:possibly, but it could just be real bad exma.

or menijidice?

im not sure.

sorry
Reply:it is most probably some allergic reaction, insect bites, body lice etc. i dont think it is an AIDS symptom. AIDS symptoms on skin will be very rare skin diseases like herper zoster, candidiasis which occurs in immunocompromised people.
Reply:No. Auto-immune disorders happen when your body gets confused and attacks the wrong thing. Excema is an auto-immune disorder in which your body attacks your skin cells. There are other sorts of auto-immune disorders as well which cause things like certain types of baldness.

Excema and other auto-immune disorders are not contaigous, they're hereditary. They often come out during times of stress.

That having been said, did a doctor tell you that this was an auto-immune disorder? If not, you should get it looked at. In the meantime, apply Cortizone 10 (an over the counter cream) and take baths in Aveno.
Reply:I've got a autoimmune disease[lupus]and i had a spot.that i kept scratching and with in a week my all body was cover in sores

so what you have could be anything.like the answers you already got say.when a autoimmune disease it starts to attack itself

IE-skin/organs.etc etc.so you should see a doctor for a opinion
