Is being g@y real or a mental disorder?

Is Homosexuality real or some sort of mental disorder?


I believe homosexuality is a type of mental disorder. Take for example anorixia; girls insist, WITH CONVICTION that they're fat when in reality, they're skin and bones. They are normal, have families are married, and functional in every other way except for this serious issue...or say the example of a pedophile (obvious a different catagory but nevertheless a disorder), research has been made that they function normally in every other way except for this mental discrepency. I have never ever once heard of the evidence that homosexulaity is a real condition. I just hear, "they say" or "don't be closed minded" but no one can evey say anything after that, nothing to back it up. My point is just because eveybody says it's true doesn't make it true. right? Just because the mass population said segregation before civil liberties was right and necessary doesn't make it correct. I think most people just repeat what other people say and not question it themselves. what do you think?

homosexuality is NOT a mental disorder. You will NOT find it is the DSM. ;)
Reply:It's not a matter of people "not thinking about it." Years ago, being gay was considered a mental disorder. Through years of research we have discovered that that theory is wrong and removed it from the list of mental disorders.
